LIMINAL 77 is a film production company based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, dedicated to producing narrative & experimental short films that uplift marginalized voices while maintaining a high standard of cinematic craft.
Our work has been recognized at festivals across the United States and internationally, including the Las Cruces International Film Festival, Mindfield Film Festival Albuquerque, LA Skins Fest, San Antonio QFest International Film Festival, Night of Shorts Milano, LA Indie Horror Fest, Silver City Community Film Festival, and Everybody Is Somebody Film Festival. Our films have earned multiple honors, including Best Director, Best Actress, Best Writer, Best Suspense, Best Experimental Film, & awards for Editing & Sound Design, with several additional official selections, finalists, & semifinalist placements.
Projects such as Monochromic, Hungryland, Toska, SLVT, Rapacious Harriet and The Two Strangers, & The Bad Way to Pay have collectively received numerous awards & selections, highlighting the strength of our collaborative team & our commitment to bold storytelling.
At LIMINAL 77, our highest priority is ensuring that all members of our cast & crew feel empowered in their creativity, contributions, & ownership of the final film. We believe filmmaking is both an art & a responsibility. Our goal is for every project to carry the soul, intention, and generosity of the people who made it.
Meet us!
Lex, Estefany, and Julia met in 2019 while working on a television show. Immediately, they were able to connect on their love for film, as well as find common dreams for what this medium could be. As they continued to work in the film industry, they began to meet more and more creative and talented minds, but found there was a dearth of opportunity for grassroot and independent production.
They decided to take the initiative to amplify their own creative voices while uplifting those around them as well. Since then, they've been working together to tell the stories that matter to them, and hopefully to many others.
Lex Lotito
Lex has worked as an AD and Line Producer on many independent films and has created and maintained the budgets for all of LIMINAL's projects. Her expertise can help you develop a realistic budget and schedule for your film's unique needs.
Julia Storch
Julia has an MFA in Dramatic Writing from the University of New Mexico, and as showrunner at LIMINAL 77, has had a lot of experience in getting scripts ready for the cameras. Her feedback can perfect script formatting, give you a new perspective on your work, and adjust the script to reflect any filming constraints.
Estefany Vega
Estefany Vega is a Line Producer Assistant with experience at Warner Bros., Fox, and Netflix. Known for her creativity and diligent work ethic, she brings innovative budgeting and production solutions to every project.
